Casey Grammar School

Casey Grammar School

A Board manages Casey Grammar School, an ecumenical coeducational school. A Consultative Committee supports it. These two bodies include representatives from Uniting and Salvation Army, Anglican Churches and parents, as well as individuals with special expertise. It is a limited liability registered company.

In 1994, an interim committee created the School with the vision to provide a Christian school that was affordable. It also aims at providing excellent education for Cranbourne’s families. From Foundation to Year 6, the school had 57 students. In 1996, it added secondary classes. There are over 800 students currently enrolled in the school, ranging from Foundation to Year 12.

The school logo is a symbol of Christian heritage and foundation. The small flames symbol for the Holy Spirit is a symbol that dates back to the time of Pentecost. The symbol of Christ the Risen Lord is the symbol for Christ, but the symbol of Christ’s foundation and heritage, the symbol symbol of Christ’s ‘Chrismon’ symbol is ancient. Its roots date back to Roman times. It also features the school motto, “One In The Spirit”. This demonstrates the power and ability that the Holy Spirit has to unify their community and bring them together.

Independent Schools Victoria is the founding member of the School. It is also a founding member of the Victorian Ecumenical System of Schools (now Ecumenical Schools Australia).

Ecumenical Schools Australia is an independent network of co-educational schools. Its members are varied in their size, location, faith, and religion. They all work together to encourage richness in education. In 2019, there are 18 members that educate more than 17.700 students. Members of Ecumenical Schools Australia are mostly located in the suburbs and near regional centers. Each one has its own unique values and characteristics.

They share a common commitment to respecting one another’s differences and working together to improve their students’ education. Ecumenical Schools Australia members embrace differences in strategic direction and profile. They encourage collaboration between schools. It results in a vibrant and open-minded educational community.

It is amazing to see the diversity in faith practices. There are many Christian denominations represented. However, not all schools have formal affiliations. They all share a common Christian ethos. Through its activities, Ecumenical Schools Australia seeks to increase equity and access education opportunities while encouraging excellence in student outcomes at its member school schools.
