First La Porchetta Restaurant was established in 1985, following the purchase of Italian natives Rocky Pantaleo and Felice Nania purchased a shabby pizza restaurant in Melbourne’s Italian centre.

It was the start of something extraordinary. La Porchetta held functions for the children who lived on Moira’s farm along with Rocky took them out on adventures with his motorbike. La Porchetta also ran fundraising events for Moira’s foundation during their annual conference.
